The Forgettery ~ 15 Jan 2015

Mars now approaches Neptune, and with this I dang near forgot to put out a note about Mars square Saturn, as it is now! Add to the mix the fact that Mars simultaneously sextiles Ceres in Capricorn, there’s a potent planetary package for progress happening right now.

No doubt you’ve read the hype. Nothing happens with a Saturn stress aspect to Mars. Forget it.

From my experience the above assessment of the aspect is insufficient, incomplete, incorrect and fear-based to bring downer Saturn words into the equation. My experience shows that with background work completed and with the issue of a final push, Saturn aspects bring fruitful results. Praise, progress and productive results happen during Saturn transits. Promotions get handed out. So do accolades.

This morning with the Mars in Pisces (rules film) square Saturn in Sagittarius (rules philosophy) in play the Oscar nominees were rendered. Who will the winners be? Well, maybe films about Mars-Saturn themes... fighting for higher causes and social justice, conflict, the hardship of long journeys.

The nominations today in most cases were rendered to projects years in the making. The perseverance, organizational flexibility, shifts in timeline, changes of plans, budget modifications in any significant project jump around like that pesky moth you’re swatting in the closet who has been feasting on your finest apparel. It’s a handy attribute with the present square that it posts its position in mutable signs. Flexibility is needed. Intractable persons or plans need not apply. Go with the Mars in Pisces flow, however, be clear that a deviation in course, for whatever reason, is not a disruption to the intended destination. Instead, flex to fit improvements and upgrades into the planning model.

Regardless of mutability, this is the time to get stuff done. Roll up your sleeves. Apply some sweat equity to your greatest visions and make your presentation. Now. In the next days. Soon.

The energy is ripe for “getting” concepts that previously may have been difficult to comprehend. Saturn in Sag can get behind things with a clear, well-guided philosophical baseline. And it approves of high-minded concepts especially if the economic benefits and real world bottom lines are impeccably defined. Sure it’s time to release those plans for the Mars colony. But it’s also time for legislative processes that provide true reform, and its time for those with concepts that further the greater good to get out there. It’s time for creative vision to flourish. It’s time to endorse the arts. Practically and personally, it’s time to revisit the how, the why and the purpose of your aspirations. Get your pitches well articulated in your head, then take the necessary action to put yourself in front of the right people.

Mars in Pisces now approaches Neptune. Mars will be exact with the inspiring, creativity-stirring, spiritually-invoking gaseous giant on 19th - next Monday. At this point actions previously taken that seemed off the beaten path, a bit wayward, or most peculiar make more sense. As a result, improved receptivity to your best creative rendering is at hand. Next week, by the way, I’ll have an announcement what I did with Mars and Saturn in quadrature.

Mars is sextile Ceres, the great advocate. With Ceres in play, use care when applying hardline, deal-breaking conditions. Be aware of the tendency to shoot a project in its proverbial foot, or to unwittingly sabotage the project. The sabotage factor occurs if one is uncertain of the merit or stability or viability of the project promoted. Go back to Saturn. Ensure it’s well-thought, well-planned and precisely executed. Ensure that abstractions are defined in mundane terms. Check to see that others are following your creative drift. Get your stuff going.

If others are involved in the timeline of getting your stuff done, make sure they understand the deadlines and that they are properly motivated to accomplish your time priorities. Compensation or back end rewards often increase motivation. Delegate as you can, but be politely diligent in following up on the directives entrusted to others. These days it seems like life gets in the way a lot. The car repair. The leaking roof. The loss of power. Internet instability. Follow through and if a shift of assignment is required to complete outsourced objectives, make the shift.

Forget nothing. With Mars in Pisces on Neptune, it is possible to forget what task was next, especially when engaged in creative visioning. Make sticky notes and place them in clear line of sight. Put stuff you need to take with you by the door so you must step over them while leaving.

Get going. Mars and Saturn are square! Woo hoo!

As a relevant mundane note, Mercury retrogrades on the 21st. So there’s that three-week slot of reluctance to initiate new projects, go for contract signing, and all the other Mercury ruled jazz. This retrograde cycle of Mercury, he conjoins the Earth and Sun on January 30 @ 13:40 U.T. If you must function in serious Mercury matters during the retrograde, within eight hours of the noted time, it’s cool to do so. Conscious attention (Sun) regarding matters mundane (Earth) lead to effective articulation and discussion at the hours around the exact alignment.

More soon.
